Audio Couplers

A unique combination of naturally available materials combined in a highly-scientific manor allows these high-end audio couplers to outperform any other single device on the market. Sure, they cost a bit more but they will quickly pay for themselves in terms of unleasing the full potential of your equipment. Audio Couplers are made from gemstones suspended in a proprietary conduction material. The first thing that you may notice is that they look unusual. The shape is a deliberate transformation of the familiar pointed devices (known as cones or spikes)that were invented by McCormack Audio some twenty or more years ago. Known as "Tiptoes", these highly successful devices have become a staple of the home audio "tweak bag". Our couplers spring board off of the original design thanks to recent developement of new manufacturing techiques as well as in just plain adapting to the requirements of newer audio components. The modified ecliptic shape of the upper transfer disk is particularly suited to CD transports and other phase-critical components. The triangular lower transfer disk is perfect for use on platforms of any shape or size. Our staff can assist you in the determination of the ideal location and orientation of the couplers. Although they are a lot of fun to experiment with even if it's just trial and error! You will love the results.

These are extremely versatile couplers. There benefits are most noticable with source components although they offer an improvent over brass or wood when used with most other components. They are approved for use on surfaces made of stone, metal, plastic or wood.

Better imaging and clarity than maple or other hardwoods. Maple is widely accepted as the best well-rounded material for audio coupling applications in spite of the fact that it does not reproduce detail well. Our composite couplers offer all of the warmth of wood yet with a greater attention to imaging and clarity.

Much more natural sound than carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is a highly controversal material when it comes to audio coupling applications. Many listeners sense an "emptyness" or hollow sound. It sounds too "plastic" in our opinion. This is due in part to the use of polymer resins in conjunction with the lay up patterns within in the carbon fiber fabric. We use materials in a way that more closely resembles the way in which they occur naturally.

Warmer, softer sound than brass or aluminum. Period! Although brass does offer a lot of performance for such a low-cost tweak. If you can swing the added expense then these composite couplers are the best way to go.
