The internal structure is crafted from heavy-gauge steel tubing and is mig welded at all joints. The structure is then covered in
solid hardwood giving it the ability to co-exist with the finest of furniture. This combination of materials also provides oustanding
damping while directly coupling to the ground. The shelf-modules are built using a mix of solid hardwood and MDF covererd in
hardwood veneer, as used in the manufacture of fine speaker enclosures. This method of construction provides outstanding
resistance to resonance, precision construction tolerances and superb appearance. Ventilation is achieved via a narrow slot that
runs around the perimeter of the platform. Unlike other brands, heat can not be trapped under the shelf and is instead deflected
away from the upper shelves. The columns are made from hardwood with a one-inch square steel tube that runs through the
entire length and provides much better energy transfer and rigididity then just plain solid wood. The base incorporates a welded
steel frame and is covered in a mix of hardwood and MDF. The columns and base may be filled with sand or shot although this
is not really necessary due to the high mass and damping properties of this rack. You get a state-of-the-art audio rack that

The platforms consist of a sheet of conducting material sandwiched between a layer of genuine
granite and a layer of MDF. This is essentially a woodgrain version of the popular AV45 audio
